Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, a Ghanaian youngster, has been nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Season award in League One.

While on a season-long loan with Charlton Athletic, the Crystal Palace Academy graduate has had an outstanding season, with 19 direct goal involvements, including seven in his last six games. Rak-Sakyi, who is 20 years old, has scored 13 goals, including a notable brace on Easter Monday, and has provided six assists.

He is up against Cameron Humphreys, a midfielder from Ipswich Town, and Bali Mumba, who plays for Plymouth Argyle.

The winner of the award will be announced at the EFL Awards, which will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Sunday, 23rd April.

Rak-Sakyi signed a five-year deal with Crystal Palace last summer, ensuring his stay at the club until summer 2027.
