In the League One play-offs on Friday evening, Ghanaian foward Kwame Poku scored a goal for Peterborough United in their 4-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday.

In the early minutes of the game, Sheffield Wednesday looked lively, but Peterborough's Will Norris made a superb one-handed save to deny Michael Smith after a mistake from Oliver Norburn.

Peterborough's first goal was the result of two mistakes from Will Vaulks, whose clumsy clearing of a cross fell to Jonson Clarke-Harris, whose low near-post strike from 15 yards went past Cameron Dawson of Sheffield Wednesday.

Posh extended their lead to 2-0 after 37 minutes with a magnificent drive from Joe Ward, which took a tiny deflection and hit the underside of the crossbar before entering the net.

Mason-Clark's wonderful cross led to Poku scoring at the back post, giving Posh a 3-0 lead.

Jack Taylor made it 4-0 on 81 minutes after hitting the post, and Clarke-Harris blasted home a header at the far post. Poku had a chance to make it five in stoppage time, but Dawson denied him.
