The 25-year-old attacker has sealed a move to the United States of America semi-professional league campaigners ahead of the start of the new football season

USL League Two club Western Mass Pioneers have announced the signing of Ghanaian-American attacking forward Alfred Baafi for the 2026 campaign.

The Monteverde academy graduate is linking up with the Massachusetts-based club on the back of experience in playing in the part-time football league ahead of the summer.

ln announcing the deal with the forward, those in charge of administrative affairs at the Lusitano Stadium have said the landing of the 25-year-old would add dept to their squad, with the deal pending until its approval from the League's Federation.

A statement of confirmation over the capturing of the Ghanaian attacker reads on their micro-blogging platform lnstagram: ''Ghanaian forward Alfred Baafi joins the Pioneers for the summer. The striker already has @uslleaguetwo experience and will add depth to the squad, pending league and federation approval,''

Baafi remains fit to play for either the Ghana national football team or the USA men's soccer team at the international level. He was born in Techiman, Ghana.
