English-born of Ghanaian descent Brandon Thomas-Asante netted his third goal of the season for West Bromwich Albion in their 2-0 win over Stoke City in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.

West Brom climbed out of the Championship's bottom three after beating Stoke to claim their third straight victory.

The Baggies had the better of the first-half chances and were rewarded before half-time when Kyle Bartley headed in from a corner.

Thomas-Asante sealed the points with a spectacular overhead kick to earn Carlos Corberan's side all three points.

The win sees the Baggies climb out of the relegation zone and into 21st place in the table, above Wigan on goal difference.

The 23-year-old enjoyed 90 minutes of the game action before he was replaced in the dying embers by Dike.

Thomas-Asante joined West Bromwich Albion on a three-year deal from Salford during the summer transfer window.
