Leyton Orient secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road, with English-Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei playing a pivotal role in the win.

Charlie Kelman put Orient ahead in the 29th minute, heading in Diallang Jaiyesimi’s precise cross to give the visitors a first-half lead. Blackpool responded strongly after the break, and Sonny Carey equalized in the 61st minute with a well-placed left-footed strike from inside the box.

However, Orient regained their advantage just two minutes later, thanks to Agyei’s sharp playmaking. The striker, who completed the full 90 minutes, set up Kelman for his second goal of the match with a clever assist, allowing him to slot home from close range.

Despite Blackpool’s late pressure, Orient’s defense remained resolute to secure all three points. The victory brings their head-to-head record with Blackpool to three wins apiece and keeps their League One playoff hopes alive.

Agyei now has five assists in 31 league appearances this season. Leyton Orient will aim to build on this momentum when they face Mansfield Town on March 22.
