The teenager of Ghanaian origin has inked his first professional contract with the German second-tier side following an impressive run of form with the youth team ranks
Bundesliga 2 outfit SC Paderborn 07 have handed German-born Ghanaian teenager llyas Ansah his first professional contract ahead of the 2023/24 football season.
The 18-year-old has overly impressed with the U19 and U21 youth teams since arriving from Sportfreunde Siegen on a free transfer in 2022.
Sporting director Benjamin Weber has expressed his happiness for retaining the services of their prized jewel given his talent as a promising forward.
"In his position, Ilyas is one of the most sought-after talents in Germany. We are therefore very pleased that he sees his future path in Paderborn. We will continue to build it up carefully," Weber told his club's official website
Ansah made 12 appearances, scoring 4 and assisting 1 for SC Paderborn in the U19- Bundesliga West 22/23 season.
Born in Germany, the teenager is still eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage.
