The teenage sensation of Ghanaian parentage has completed his move to the German top-flight campaigners ahead of the summer transfer window
German-born Ghanaian youth star Charles Herrmann has joined Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach from league rivals Borussia Dortmund.
The 18-year-old left-footed budding star is joining The Foals on a free transfer having exhausted his deal with his former boyhood club this summer.
The German U-17 World Cup winner will see game actions in the first team and the reserve side of the Borussia-Park campaigners for the 2024/25 football season.
Sporting director Roland Virkus had this to say after capturing the promising teenager from their top-flight rivals: "We are delighted that Charles Herrmann has decided to move to us. He is a young, talented player who has the potential for higher tasks. But first he has to settle in here. We will give him the chance and the time to develop."
Herrmann is the son of former Ghana international Charles Kwablan Akonnor and he remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U-16 & U-17 national youth teams.
