The 18-year-old teenager is currently testing his mettle with the newly-promoted Swedish top-flight campaigners ahead of the start of the new football season next term
Ghanaian budding centre-back Rufai Mohammed is undergoing trials with newly-promoted Allsvenskan side Östers IF ahead of the 2025-26 Swedish top-flight campaign.
The former lnter Allies lanky stopper, who is currently on the books of IF Elfsborg U19 side, could link up with the Visma Arena outfit if he excels during his assessment sessions in the coming days.
The Ghanaian starlet expressed his eagerness to clinch a contract with the elite division returnees although other suitors from Slovakia are also in the running for his signature in this ongoing winter transfer window.
''Of course I want to come here [Östers IF],'' the 18-year-old defender affirmed to a Swedish Newspaper Smålandsposten. ''It feels like a very nice place with good people. I see young players here who have good potential to develop.''
He added: ''I have a contract offer in Slovakia now and if it's better there, I'll probably go there. It's not about me wanting to come home, but I want to have the best possible conditions to play football.''
Rufai has failed to make his mark at IF Elfsborg since his transfer move from Ghanaian Division Two League side Inter Allies Football Club in 2024.
