Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has quickly established himself as a key defensive force in the Premier League, ranking joint-second for tackles won after just three games.

The 20-year-old, known primarily for his attacking prowess, has made a notable impact at Leicester City with 14 tackles, tying him with Fulham’s left-back Antonee Robinson.

Remarkably, Issahaku is the only attacker among the top tacklers. Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare, Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz, and Tottenham’s Cristian Romero follow closely with nine tackles each. Central midfielders Sean Longstaff and Kobbie Mainoo also feature prominently, with eight tackles each.

Issahaku, who joined Leicester City on loan from Sporting CP before making a permanent move, has been instrumental in helping the team secure their Premier League status. He has also been involved with the Black Stars in recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, playing in the 1-0 defeat to Angola and the 1-1 draw against Niger.

As the international break ends, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will look to continue his impressive form when Leicester City resumes Premier League action.
