Ghanaian forward Albert Adomah has signed a new one-year contract with English club Walsall FC.

The 37-year-old veteran, who became a fan favourite at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, played a crucial role during the 2023/24 campaign, making 54 appearances across all competitions.

Known for his versatility, Adomah featured in multiple positions and contributed five goals and seven assists throughout the season. He also celebrated a significant personal milestone, reaching his 700th career appearance.

Adomah expressed his excitement after committing to another season with the Saddlers.

"I'm really pleased to be staying with the Saddlers for another season," he said. "Unfortunately, last season didn’t end the way we all hoped, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It was an easy decision to stay for another year."

He also acknowledged the club's management and fan support as key factors in his decision.

"Conversations with the gaffer have been ongoing for a few weeks, and in the end, it was an easy choice. I feel really loved by the supporters, and I want to keep playing and contributing to the team in any way I can.

"It's time to get back to work for another pre-season, and I can’t wait to get going again."

Adomah's experience and leadership will be vital as Walsall prepare for the upcoming season, with hopes of pushing for promotion.
