Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu played a pivotal role in Northampton’s commanding 3-0 win against Jojo Wollacott's Crawley Town in the English League One on Saturday at Sixfields Stadium.
Fosu opened the scoring just 16 minutes into the game, setting Northampton on the path to victory. His impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match title, despite being substituted after 65 minutes.
Northampton doubled their lead in the 30th minute through an own goal from Crawley’s Jay Williams. Mitch Pinnock sealed the win ten minutes into the second half, securing all three points for the home side.
After joining Northampton in the summer transfer window following a year out of action post-Brentford, Fosu has shown his quality in League One. He has recorded two goals and two assists in his ten appearances this season.
The England-born forward, who made his Black Stars debut on October 9, 2020, has earned four caps for Ghana.
