Ghanaian young center-back Kingsley Gyamfi made his first-ever appearance for Hammarby IF in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday evening.
The budding talented defender made a cameo appearance for Hammarby IF in their 2-0 away loss to Malmo FF in their match-week two encounter at the Eleda Stadion.
A brace from Isaac Kiese Thelin ensured Malmo FF all the three maximum points to keep their title defense chase alive with back-to-back victories.
Gyamfi arrived at Hammarby IF from Ghanaian lower-tier side MSK Zilina Africa in 2022 for an undisclosed fee and was drafted into the club's youth side as part of his developmental process.
The Ghanaian international was handed a promotion to the Hammarby IF senior team after making 27 appearances out of 30 games in the Swedish Ettan Norra.
He became a prime target for Major League Soccer outfit FC Austin during the last winter transfer window following his explosive performances at Hammarby IF youth side.
Gyamfi has a contract with Hammarby IF until the end of the 2028/29 season.
