The English Second-Tier side are on the verge of landing the talented winger of Ghanaian descent ahead of the closure of the winter transfer window
English Championship side Millwall FC are set to sign London-born Ghanaian winger Benicio Baker-Boaitey from Premier League outfit Brighton on a permanent deal, according to multiple reports from the English media.
The 21-year-old, who spent the first half of the ongoing season on loan at League Two side Port Vale FC, is set to seal a permanent transfer move to The Den Stadium campaigners this January.
A report by Sky Sports has indicated that the Ghana-prospect flanksman is undergoing his medical assessment with Millwall as he looks forward to finalising the move ahead of the closure of the transfer window in few days time.
Baker-Boaitey, currently with Brighton U23 youth side, has failed to cement his position in the mainstream setup of The Seagulls since linking up with them from Portuguese outfit FC Porto in 2022.
He has so far figured in 14 games across all competitions for Brighton U21 side in the ongoing 2024-25 football season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the London-born winger still remains fit to play for Ghana at the international level despite featuring for the England U16 and U20 national youth teams.
