Ghanaian young attacker Edmund Baidoo came off the bench to score a decisive goal to hand Red Bull Salzburg an important home win over SCR Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday evening.
Baidoo, who arrived in Austria from Norwegian second-tier league outfit Sogndal IF during the summer transfer window, registered his first-ever Bundesliga goal to secure all three maximum points for Salzburg.
After a lack of goals in the first half, SCR Altach returned from the tunnel to exhibit a spectacular display, which earned them the opener through Lukas Fridrikas in the 59th minute of the game.
Red Bull Salzburg took over possession of the fixture in the remaining 30 minutes and scored two late goals to record a sweet home win to keep their title-winning hopes alive.
Ivorian international Karim Konate snatched the equalizer for the hosts with a beautiful header in the 84th minute before the Ghanaian made it 2-1 two minutes later.

Baidoo has scored two goals in three appearances for Red Bull Salzburg since joining the Austrian Bundesliga giants on a long-term contract from Sogndal IF during the summer transfer window.
He is yet to play for Ghana at any level.
