The talented forward will be returning to his parent club after spending the current campaign on a short-term loan deal with the Danish lower division side

Ghanaian striker Richmond Gyamfi has been released by Danish 1st Division side Hobro IK following his loan spell with them in this ongoing football season.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Hobro-based club on a six-month loan contract from Superliga outfit Aarhus GF during the January transfer window, is set to team up with his parent club ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

ln a statement confirming the release of Gyamfi after the expiration of his loan deal, the DS Arena campaigners have said via the club's official website: ''When Hobro IK rounds off the NordicBet League season on Thursday evening at DS Arena against HB Køge, Laurits Nørby, Tobias Lennert and Richmond Gyamfi will be said goodbye shortly before the start of the match.''

''Laurits Nørby and Tobias Lennert were promoted to the first team squad from our U23 team this season. Laurits Nørby wants to try out elsewhere in search of more playing time. Tobias Lennert, who has unfortunately been plagued by injuries in the spring, will also go out and seek more playing time.''

''Richmond Gyamfi's loan agreement also expires on June 30, after which he will return to AGF after the summer break.''

''Hobro IK wishes all three good luck in their future careers and thanks them for their efforts in the yellow jersey.''

He has so far figured in 19 games by netting once and assisting twice for Hobro lK across all competitions in this current 2024-25 season.

Gyamfi is yet to earn his cap with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars at the international level.
