Two English-borns of Ghanaian descent were involved in Manchester United's training for their Premier League game against Arsenal on Sunday.

Ghanaian youngsters Omari Forson and Kobbie Mainoo have been handed a call-up to the Manchester United first team training ahead of tomorrow's game against league leaders, Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff were keen to mix in the young talents, to take a look at them and give them experience around first team stars.

The duo were among the seven U21 players of Manchester United who were spotted training with the senior team at the Aon Training Complex in Carrington.

Forson, 18, was on the scoresheet for United's U21 team in their 2-1 win over Carlisle United at the Bruton Park on Tuesday evening.

Mainoo is a creative midfielder, who scored twice in United’s run to the 2022 FA Youth Cup final, heading home at Old Trafford against Everton after a smart finish away at Reading in the fourth round.

He was part of the Manchester United U17s team that travelled to Dallas, Texas to take part in the Adidas Generation Cup in April 2022 and has enjoyed a couple of chances in the club's U23s team.
