The 22-year-old flanksman is planning to sever ties with the German second tier outfit in the next transfer window

Ghanaian international Ransford Königsdörffer is hatching an idea of leaving 2.Bundesliga side Hamburger SV in the summer, according to a report from the German media.

The former Hertha Berling youth man came close to joining Austrian Bundesliga outfit Sturm Graz in a deal worth €3m during the summer of 2023, but saw their bid knocked back by his current employers.

And now German tabloid Hamburger Abendblatt has indicated that the 22-year-old is considering moving away from the Volksparkstadion campaigners in the next transfer window.

Konigsdorffer had endured hard times under departed manager Tim Walter after going barren in front of goal in 20 game appearances. However, with the coming of new manager Steffen Baumgart, the former Dynamo Dresden winger will hope to rediscover his scoring form for the rest of their outings in the ongoing campaign.

He has so far featured in 19 league games, scoring once and assisting twice for HSV in this current football season.

His deal with the Die Rothosen will expire on June 30, 2026 and suitors must dig deep into their coffers to be able to land him in the summer.

He has so far won four international caps for Ghana at the international level.
