Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has officially inked a five-year contract, with the possibility of extending for another year, with West Ham United.

This move comes as he finalizes his transfer from Ajax for a substantial fee of €44.5 million (£38.2 million, $48 million).

The 23-year-old dynamic attacking midfielder arrived in London on Saturday to undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation conducted by the Premier League outfit. The formal announcement of his transfer is anticipated to take place by Monday.

Notably, the agreement encompasses a provision for a 10% sell-on clause, enhancing the intricacies of the deal.

Kudus recently showcased his prowess by netting three goals for Ajax during their impressive 4-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Europa League qualifiers held on Thursday.

Throughout the current transfer window, the Ghanaian international had garnered significant attention from various Premier League clubs. The Athletic had previously reported in August that Brighton had reached a tentative agreement with Ajax to secure his services, while Chelsea had initiated discussions with Ajax the preceding month regarding a potential arrangement.

It's worth noting that West Ham and Ajax have already engaged in transfer dealings this summer, with Edson Alvarez making a switch to the Premier League side for €40 million earlier in the current month.
