Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has suffered French Ligue 1 relegation with AJ Auxerre after a home loss to RC Lens on Saturday evening.
RC Lens inflicted a painful 3-1 on home defeat on AJ Auxerre to end their survival chances in the match-week 38 fixture at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps.
Mensah enjoyed the entire duration of the match with his compatriot Samed Salis Abdul, who also featured for RC Lens.
The 24-year-old left-back joined AJ Auxerre on a three-year deal from Austrian Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Salzburg in August 2022.
He made 26 appearances across all competitions for AJ Auxerre in the just ended season.
