German born of Ghanaian decent, Stephan Kofi Ambrosius has also agreed to change his nationality to a Ghanaian and will play for the Black Stars in the upcoming assignments.
The 23 year old is a defender who plays for German Bundesliga II side Hamburger SV and has been an integral member since his promotion into the first team in 2017.
He becomes the latest player to agree to play for Ghana's senior national team after Inaki Williams, Ransford Yeboah, Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey and Patrick Pfeffer.
This was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku in a post he made on social media.
They will be available for Ghana in the next assignment which is the double header against Angola in October in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Also, they will play a key part in the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.
