The Italian top-flight campaigners have set sight on the 22-year-old and could make a move for his services should they lose their French marksman in this winter transfer window

Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona FC have penciled down Ghanaian centre-forward Kelvin Yeboah as a possible transfer target should they lose their leading French striker Thomas Henry in this January transfer window.

The Verona-based club are resigned to losing their star forward to admirers this winter and have identified the former Sturm Graz attacker to be the ideal man to fill the void left by the 28-year-old Frenchman if they finally cash in on him this term.

Yeboah has so far struggled to establish himself as a first-teamer in Genoa's set-up since his €6.5m transfer move from the Austrian Bundesliga elite side in January 2022.

Reports from the Italian media have claimed that, the Ghanaian forward is the number one target of the Gialloblù and are prepared to push hard for his deal in this transfer window.

He has so far managed 11 appearances by scoring and assisting onces in the ongoing Serie B league campaign for Genoa CFC.

Having been born in Accra, Yeboah is still qualified to play for Ghana at the international stage despite playing for the Italy U-21 national youth team.
