Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has lavished praise on Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, describing the in-form Ghanaian as an “extraordinary player” ahead of their Premier League encounter.
Semenyo has been one of the standout performers in the English top flight this season, combining blistering pace, sharp dribbling, and intelligent movement to become a key figure in Andoni Iraola’s attacking setup.
“He is very good — absolutely he is. He’s an extraordinary player,” Guardiola said when asked about the Ghanaian’s form.
The Black Stars international has not only impressed with his direct play but also with his versatility, operating effectively across the front line. His performances have reportedly attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe.
Semenyo’s strong start to the 2025/26 campaign has seen him register six goals and three assists in nine Premier League matches, ranking just behind Erling Haaland in the scoring charts.
As Manchester City prepare to face Bournemouth, Guardiola will be fully aware of the threat posed by the 24-year-old, whose explosive form has been instrumental in the Cherries’ strong early-season performances.
