Ghana and Leicester City attacker, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has confirmed his recovery has been progressing very well and will be fully fit and a available for the club's pre-season
The mercurial winger has been out since November last due to an injury he sustained during Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier against Angola last Thursday.
He suffered the injury early in the match, forcing his substitution in the first half and subsequently missing Ghana’s final Group F game against Niger and traveled back to England for further evaluation and treatment.
Speaking with Leicester City official media team, the Fatawu confirmed he is very close to full recovery and is ever ready and eager to return to action
“I have been working so hard. My rehab has been so good with the people, the physio, the management, and the players. Everyone has been so supportive of me. I’ll be ready before pre-season.
“I can’t wait to be back on the field, running again, fighting for the badge as always."
Leicester City FC have been relegated again to the English Championship and will hope patch up all cracks to bounce back stronger and return to the topflight
