Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah has drawn a parallel between his playstyle and that of Barcelona’s emerging talent, Lamine Yamal, following his recent transfer to the Spanish giants.

Issah, who signed a one-season deal with Barcelona, including an option to buy, made this comparison during his unveiling alongside fellow Ghanaian David Oduro.

Issah’s transfer to Barcelona comes after an impressive stint with Dreams FC, highlighted by his standout performances in the CAF Confederation Cup. Reflecting on his new opportunity, the 19-year-old expressed his excitement and gratitude for joining the club he has supported since childhood.

“It’s a great feeling and a massive joy for me. I have been supporting this club for a very long time since childhood, and being here, being part of this club, I am very grateful for my management, my team, and everything they have done. I can’t wait to get started,” Issah said.

He described his style as similar to that of Yamal, saying, “I describe myself as a Lamine Yamal type of player—left-footed, who likes shooting and attacking. Yes, that’s how Aziz is.”

Issah’s comparison underscores his confidence and ambition as he prepares to make his debut with Barcelona B, with hopes of catching the attention of first-team manager Hansi Flick.
