English-born Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has opened up on reason he decided to extend his contract with AFC Bournemouth amid interest from series of clubs
The 25-year-old had 20-goal involvements in the just-ended 2024/25 season having netted 13 times and provided 7 assists in over 40 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries
Undoubtedly, this his best ever single season performance and got him on the radar of series of clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and others
However, Semenyo overlooked all options to sign a new contract last month which will keep him at the Vitality Stadium until 2030
Speaking on Sky Sports, the lanky forward describe AFC Bournemouth as the best club to be right due to the love shown to him by everyone around
“When you somewhere, you want to feel wanted, and I didn’t feel that elsewhere so this was my safe place," he said.
"I felt wanted and it’s good to be back. It’s still the best place to be right now,” Semenyo added
He’s started preseason already looking to have himself adequately prepared and ready for the upcoming season
