The man in charge of the dugout at the Borås Arena has hinted the Ghanaian starlet will be witnessing much game time in the upcoming Swedish top-flight contest

Ghanaian teenager Jalal Abdulai is set to figure prominently for his side lF Elfsborg in the 2024/25 Allsvanskan season, with manager Jimmy Thelin hoping to get the best out of him as a rising star.

The 19-year-old forward has so far elevated himself during their pre-season much to the delight of the Swedish gaffer.

However, following his impressive outings in the off-season, the former lnter Allies attacker has left his manager convinced and is ready to hand him more game opportunities having formed a strong bond among his playing mates up front.

Jimmy Thelin was left highlighting on the qualities of the youngster to fotbolldirekt: "He has had a huge development during the spring. They (Abdulai and Frick) are quite similar yet different. There may be some matches where someone is more suitable depending on how the opponent plays. We will benefit from both in different ways and also have Dion to throw in."

"Number one is that he has speed and raw strength. He had that last year too, but was quite unpolished. Now he is starting to find relationships with his teammates, knows what he is good at and brings it out more often in the matches. Gets into deep runs more often, looks much more agile in terms of technique with the ball and can do two players on his own."

"The big thing is that he grows into a team. Last year he flashed, but could disappear. He still has some way to go to become a regular for 90 minutes, but the peaks are coming more often and are a bit longer. He is more even."

Jalal made 10 league appearances, scoring two and assisting once for lF Elfsborg last season.
