Ghanaian winger, Joseph Paintsil netted his tenth goal of the season to power KRC Genk to a hard fought win over Gent earlier today.
The Blue and Whites in a five goal thriller defeated the Buffaloes by 2-3 at the Ghelamco Arena to widen their gap at the top of the Belgian Jupiler Pro league.
The ex- Tema Youth star opened the scoring account on the 23rd minute, coupled with two other goals from Yira Sor and T.E Arokodare.
Gent had their goals netted by South Korea's Hyeon-seok Hong and Laurent Depoitre.
Joseph Paintsil is in a blistering and has a 20 goal contribution so far, having scored 10 and assisted 10 in 20 outings so far in the Belgian topflight.
KRC Genk are still holding onto their lead with 62 points, seven points adrift second-place Union St Gilloise.
They will host Royal Antwerp in the next round of matches.
