Former Black Galaxies midfielder, Umar Bashiru was on target once again in the mid-week to power Insurance FC to an important away triumph, marking their fourth of the season.
The Medhins recorded an important 1-2 victory over Defence Force at the Bahir Dar Stadium last Wednesday afternoon in week 5 of the Ethiopian topflight.
The scoreline stood at one all after a very tensed encounter, leaving an even exchange between both teams.
However, the ex- Kotoko man on the 55th minute, connected into the net at a very close range from Yared Kassaye's pint point cross from the left flanks to grind all three points for his side.
The mercurial midfielder joined the Addis Ababa-based side few weeks ago from Ghanaian topflight side Karela United, and has contributed to three goals so far; scoring two with an assist in his opening three outings.
Insurance FC are currently joint-leaders on the Ethiopian Premier League log with giants St Georges and are both on 12 points each, having recorded four wins and a defeat.
They will host Bahir Dar Kenema in their next league fixture on Friday, November 4, 2022.
