Ghanaian striker, Antoine Semenyo was very elated after scoring against Manchester City and added they really deserved to win looking at the performance they put up throughout the game.
The Cherries did the unthinkable after beating the champions by 2-1 over the weekend in what was a very entertaining fixture at the Vitality Stadium.
Semenyo opened the scoring account in just nine minutes from kickoff and Brazilian international Evanlison added to give Bournemouth their first-ever win against the Cityzens.
Semenyo has now scored four goals and provided an assist in 10 Premier League matches for AFC Bournemouth in the ongoing season so far.
Speaking in an interview, the Black Stars forward described the feeling of his goal and the win as an amazing one and believes they were the better side on the day and deserved to carry all the three points.
"It feels amazing. The best team in the world. We made it tough for them, and everyone is buzzing with the result. A win is a win. It doesn’t matter if it’s one goal or three; we deserved it."
Antoine Semenyo will seek another starting berth when they host Brentford in the next round of matches.
