Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu fulfilled a dream by playing against his role model, Sergio Ramos, earlier this year when Clermont Foot faced PSG.
The 23-year-old, who started for Clermont Foot in their 3-2 victory, expressed admiration for Ramos's fighting spirit and playing style.
Despite facing criticism for his own robust football approach and currently serving a suspension, Seidu revealed the significance of the encounter with the former Real Madrid captain in Ligue 1.
In an interview with Ligue 1, he praised Ramos for his commitment, acknowledging the highs and lows in the veteran's career.
“When I was little, I really liked Sergio Ramos. He's a player who goes into duels, fights, and is always there,” he told Ligue 1 in an interview.
“In good times, he's there, in difficult times, he's there. He always gives his all. It's true, he gets a lot of red cards, but he's a player who never gives up.
“When I had the chance to play against him in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, it was a dream come true!”
