Italian Serie C quartet namely, Messina, Taranto, Virtus Francavilla and Cerignola are interested in signing Ghanaian midfielder Nana Welbeck from Serie B side US Catanzaro, a report from the ltalian press has claimed.
The 28-year-old former Brescia enforcer is not in the plans of manager Vincenzo Vivarini and a move away from the Stadio Nicola Ceravolo is likely in the ongoing window.
A report filed by TMW has indicated that the Ghanaian midfielder would not be short of admirers as the above-mentioned clubs are all ready to swoop for his services if he sever ties with the newly-promoted second-tier side this summer.
Welbeck, who joins US Catanzaro in 2021, will have his contract expires on June 30, 2024 as an amount of €225,000 would be enough to secure his signature by current suitors.
He remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage.
