Athletic Club and Black Stars striker Inaki Williams after their defeat to FC Barcelona last night in the Supercopa de Espana has expressed disappointment over officiating and feels it was unfair.
This is due to his cool 86th minute goal that got disallowed for offside after a VAR check. The lanky striker strongly disagreed with the officials as he feels he wasn't offside and his goal should have been awarded.
"It was like playing away from home," he said in a post-match interview. "I find it strange that these types of plays are cancelled. I don't think it's fair," added the striker. It seems that the rules are not the same for everyone."
The Blaugranas are through to the final of the Spanish Super Cup thanks to goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal in each half in what was a very tricky fixture at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The other semi final game comes up tonight as Real Madrid butt heads with Real Mallorca. Winner will go toe to toe with FC Barcelona for the ultimate this weekend.
Inaki Williams has been very impressive so far this season for the Lions having tallied eight goals and five assists in all competitions.
