Ghana U20 attacker Jerry Afriyie opened his goal-scoring account in the Spanish third-tier league for CD Lugo with a brace against Barakaldo on Sunday afternoon.
Afriyie netted a quick first-half brace in six minutes when CD Lugo suffered a 3-2 away defeat to Barakaldo CF in the match-week 27 fixture at Estadio de Lasesarre.
The home side took an early lead through Alexander Valino before the Black Satellites centre forward levelled the score with a fine strike in the 8th minute.
The on-loan Al Qadisiya young striker registered his second goal of the day for CD Lugo in the 14th minute to make it 2-1 for his side.
Afriyie was substituted in the 56th minute, and he was replaced by Raul Hernandez.
In the 70th minute, Víctor Isuskiza Taranilla restored the parity of the game with his cool finish before 24-year-old Pablo Santiago scored the match-winner for Barakaldo CF in the 85th minute of the game.
Since arriving at CD Lugo, the former Thought FC talismanic attacker has made two appearances with two goals to his credit.
Afriyie joined the Spanish club until the end of the season from Saudi Pro League side Al Qadisiya.
