Ghanaian defender, Jonathan Mensah has sent a farewell message to his former Club Columbus Crew after sealing a move to San Jose Earthquakes in the just-closed winter transfer window.
The 32 year old after an incredible six year of service in Ohio, has decided to call it a quit and seek a new challenge elsewhere.
The Black Stars defender walked into the Gold and Blacks squad with ease and subsequently became a mainstay and the captain of the side.
He led them to two titles; the MLS Cup and the Campeones Cup. Individually, Jonathan also claimed awards for the club's best defender for three consecutive years (2018, 2019 & 2020) and made the MLS Best XI in 2020, including a prestigious Humanitarian award in his first year.
