Ghana forward Jordan Ayew was red-carded in Crystal Palace home defeat to Liverpool in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Ayew, who was a chief tormentor in the fixture was sent off after receiving the second yellow card in the 75th minute. His absence resulted his team's conceding the second goal which aided Liverpool to secure a 2-1 comeback win over Palace at the Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace opened the scoring through Jean-Philippe Mateta's penalty in the 57th minute after the entire duration of the first half had ended in a score-less draw.
Egypt international Mohamed Salah levelled the score with his 200th goal for Liverpool in the 76th minute when the home side were manless following Ayew's red card in the 75th minute of the game.
It was Harvey Elliott who delivered the decisive moment inside the first of 10 minutes of added time, producing a stunning strike from the edge of the penalty area to propel Liverpool to a famous comeback victory at the Selhurst Park.
Ayew has scored one goal and provided three assists in 16 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace in this campaign.
