Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew has admitted there is so much pressure at times when he is unable to get goals as a striker but doesn't really distract him since he always wants to enjoy playing football.
The 30 year old is gradually working tirelessly to end his recent long goal drought after scoring in his side Crystal Palace 5-4 preseason win over Championship side Millwall FC over the weekend.
Before, the elite forward in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, netted just three goals in 31 appearances for the Eagles, and will hope to give an upgrade of that in the coming season, having extended his contract for another year just recently.
It is also the same with the Black Stars but the ex- Swansea striker managed to end his over two year abeyance to score a sumptuous open play goal in the just ended Kirin Cup tournament.
Speaking to Radio Gold, Jordan Ayew stated there are so much pressure when he doesn't get the goals but doesn't really bother him if only they win matches.
"I’m a player who likes to play football and enjoy the game and I like to make sure that my team also wins the game whether I score or my teammates score."
“So, obviously there is pressure for me to score but it doesn’t bother me at all because the most important thing for me is to enjoy playing football."
“The most important thing is that we should qualify and after we will see. The most important thing is qualification and we are not yet qualified."
“The most important thing for us is to qualify and when the time comes, it’s far away, we have the World Cup, the qualifications before the AFCON.”
