Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has showered praise on his teammates after a hard-fought draw with St. Truiden in the Belgian Jupilier League on Sunday.
Paintsil, who produced a sterling performance for the Blue and White lads, registered his first league goal of the season to save KRC Genk from a home loss after they had conceded three goals in the first half of the game.
KRC Genk were held to a 3-3 home stalemate by St.Truiden VV in their match-week 8 fixture at the Cegeka Arena.
A first half hat-trick from Aboubakary Koita aided St.Truiden VV to end the department with a 3-0 lead.
In the second half, KRC Genk exercised their attacking muscles by reducing the deficit before the hour-mark through Bilal El Khannouss on the 58th minute and a 71st minute strike from Toluwalase Arokodare made it 3-2.
Paintsil superbly registered his name on the score sheet in the 85th minute to end the match in a 3-3 draw at the Cegeka Arena.
“Not the results we wanted today but that’s some positive reaction from the entire team. Looking forward to the next one," he wrote on social media after the game.
Paintsil enjoyed the entire duration of the game while his compatriot Christopher Bonsu Baah came off the bench to taste minutes.
