Journeying the Globe: Former Hearts of Oak star Torric Jebrin wins man of the match award in Nepal top tier league

Former Hearts of Oak attacker Torric Jebrin won the player of the match award after his superb performance for Friends Club Kupondol against Armed Police Force (APF) at the Dasharath Rangasala stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu.

Jebrin gave the visitors the lead in the 15th minute from close range, but Chelsea had a goal chalked off on either side of it.

 

Another Ghanaian player, Aminu Rafiq scored in the 71st minute, to make it 3-0 for Lalitpur after Bikash Thapa had netted the second goal.

Akhrorbek added the fourth goal in the 82nd minute to seal a 4-0 victory for the visitors.

 

However, the victory propelled Friends Club Kupondol to avoid relegation on the final day of the season.

 

Rafiq, a former player of Wa Suntaa has played 21 league matches, fired 14 goals, recorded one assist, and has won two Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.
