Ghanaian international, Joseph Paintsil has extended his contract with Belgian topflight side KRC Genk after a blistering start to the 2022/23 season.
The 24 year old joined the Smurfs in 2018 and has been outstanding despite spending a loan spell at some point with Turkish side Ankaragücü.
He's signed a new four years contract extension which will keep him at the Cageka Arena until 2026.
The mercurial winger has started the season on an explosive note in the Belgian Jupiler Pro, having gotten himself involved in six goals after eight outings so far; scoring four and provided two assists.
With solid six wins, a draw and a defeat, the Blue and Whites are currently sitting second on the league log with 19 points and will welcome Gent at home in their next game.
Paintsil, 24, has been part of the Black Stars squad for sometime now, having made the list for the 2021 AFCON and he World Cup playoffs but was astonishingly excluded from coach Otto Addo's squad to face Brazil and Nicaragua in the upcoming international friendlies later this month
