Juventus are close to finalising a deal for Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, Kickgh.com understands.
The Netherlands international is widely regarded as one of the promising young talents in world football and starred for his Spanish club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 12 times in 28 appearances.
A number of clubs, including Tottenham, Newcastle, Paris Saint Germain and Lyon, have all been linked with an approach, but Juventus are very much in pole position to finalise a deal with the 28-year-old over the next couple of days.
However sources have told Kickgh.com that it is extremely unlikely that the Catalans would allow Depay to leave this month, although the former Manchester United player has already agreed personal terms on a two-year deal in Turin, but agreement needs to be finalised between the player and Barcelona and the Old Lady of Italy.
Depay currently has one-year left on his Barcelona contract and he is looking forward to be released as a free agent ahead of signing for Juventus.
