The talented winger set-up Arthur Theate to open the score for Stade Rennes before Oier Sanjurjo equalised for Larnaca.
He also assisted Lorenz Assignon to net the winner during additional time to hand the French side a crucial victory.
Kamaldeen Sulemana played full throttle for Rennes, his first ninety minutes this season.
The 20-year-old has featured eight times so far this season.

Ghana will then wait to play Switzerland in their last friendly in November before the World Cup.
Rennes are in Group B with Fenerbahce, AEK Larnaca and Dynamo Kiev.
