English-Ghanaian forward Kirsten Otchere scored his first goal for Cheltenham Town who claimed a 4-2 victory over Fleetwood Town in an entertaining English League Two encounter at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

The on-loan Leicester City star found the net in the 25th minute, doubling Cheltenham’s lead after Jay Lynch’s own goal had put the hosts ahead eight minutes earlier.

Cheltenham continued their strong first-half display, with Jake Evans adding a third goal in the 39th minute to give the home side a comfortable 3-0 lead after half-time.

Fleetwood responded after half-time as Ched Evans scored in the 50th minute before converting a penalty in the 65th minute to bring the visitors back into contention at 3-2.

However, Freddie Willcox ended Fleetwood’s hopes of completing the comeback when he scored in the 80th minute to secure all three points for Cheltenham.

Otchere has now scored once in 11 league appearances for Cheltenham this season during his loan spell from Leicester City. The club will next face Newport County on October 24.
