West Ham defender Emerson Palmieri has heaped praise on his teammate Mohammed Kudus, describing the Ghanaian midfielder as exceptionally strong and explosive on the pitch.
Kudus, who joined West Ham in the summer of 2023, has quickly made an impression on the squad, earning admiration from teammates despite facing a recent suspension following a red card during the Hammers' 4-1 defeat to Tottenham in October.
Speaking on West Ham’s official Iron Cast podcast, Palmieri highlighted Kudus’ physical and technical abilities, particularly in one-on-one situations during training sessions.
"Ahhh, he’s so strong. Sometimes I train against him and go to tackle him, and I feel my leg, he’s so strong. He protects the ball so well, and he’s so explosive inside the first 10 metres. When he goes one vs one against me, I just think, 'Someone help me,'" Palmieri said.
Kudus’ absence has been felt keenly by West Ham, with manager Julen Lopetegui eagerly awaiting his return. The Ghanaian international is eligible to feature again on December 3rd when West Ham faces Leicester City.
The team has struggled to replicate the dynamism Kudus brings to their play, and fans are eager to see him back in action as the Hammers aim to climb the Premier League standings.
