Kudus Mohammed finally found the back of the net for the first time this season in their important 4-1 win over newbies Ipswich Town earlier this afternoon at the London Olympic Stadium in the English Premier League match-day seven.
The 24-year-old made the starting line up in what was a very important game for the Hammers who were on an appalling four-game winless run in the league coming in.
Despite playing only 45 minutes last week which sparked lots of hullabaloo in the media, manager Julen Lopetegui still maintained faith in the Ghanaian and handed him a starting berth.
Michael Antonio opened the scoring account in less than a minute into the game and was levelled in five minutes time courtesy Liam Delap.
Kudus subsequently restored their lead into half time before Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta added theirs in the second department to seal the win.
West Ham United after grinding their second win of the campaign are currently sitting on the 12th position with eight points and will travel to Tottenham Hotspur next.
Kudus Mohammed has been included in the Black Stars squad for the double header against Sudan next week in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
