The 25-year-old wideman is still being pursued by the American top-flight campaigners, with the transfer window in the North America yet to be closed

MLS side LA Galaxy are chasing Ghana international winger Joseph Paintsil in an effort to snatch him from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk, reports from the Belgian media have claimed.

The Los Angeles-based club are still oozing with confidence that they can secure the services of the former Tema Youth man albeit being an integral figure at the Cegeka Arena.

Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad has claimed that the 25-year-old is currently studying a new bid tabled before him by the MLS side after rejecting an initial offer from them having fall below his demands over his personal terms of services.

Reports have indicated that the obligatory €8m buy-out clause in Paintsil's contract has elapsed and that the American top-flight outfit will now be compelled to dig deep into their coffers to be able to prise him away from his mother club.

He has so far netted 6 goals and made 4 assists in 22 games for KRC Genk in the ongoing Jupiler Pro League 2023/24 season.

His current deal with the Blue-White will be up on June 30, 2026 and as per his market valuation from transfermakt, suitors have to splash €11m to land him going forward.
