The Belgian midfielder is avid in teaming up with the veteran Ghanaian defender after being together in training session for several weeks

Ex-Belgian youth international Van Landschoot has said it would be great to see Ghana international full-back Denis Odoi signing for his Belgian Challenger Pro League side KV Kortrijk in the January transfer window.

The 37-year-old, who severed ties with Royal Antwerp this summer, has been training with the Guldensporen Stadion outfit as he works his way out in securing a deal with new suitors this season.

lt's understood that the relegated Belgian Pro League side and the former Fulham man could not come to terms over a deal as both parties look forward to forging a bond in the second stanza of the current campaign.

However, with the experienced defender making a great impact in his training session, the 28-year-old Bruges-born midfielder is now keen on linking up with the veteran versatile right-back after labelling him as a ''huge asset and fantastic person''.

The ex-Club Brugge youth product said of Odoi to Belgian newspaper The Krant van West-Vlaanderen: ''Denis is a huge asset in training and just a fantastic person. It would be great if he still signed in January, but those are matters I obviously don't decide on.''

He currently boasts of 14 caps with Ghana Senior National Team since switching nationality allegiance to represent the four-time African champions in 2022.
