Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru climbed off the bench to score a late match-winner to hand RSC Anderlecht a crucial away win over Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Sunday afternoon.

RSC Anderlecht have picked two consecutive victories in the 2024/25 season's following today's 2-1 win over Royal Antwerp at the Bosuil Stadion.

Ashimeru, who was introduced 74th minute of the game, needed only six minutes to score the winner to hand RSC Anderlecht all the three maximum points.

A 25th minute own goal scored by Senne Lammens helped the visitors to have the lead before Gyrano Kerk levelled the score via a pass from Vincent Janssen in the 36th minute of the game.

Ashimeru brilliantly connected a low cross from Yari Verschaeren in the 80th minute to secure the all-important away win for Anderlecht at the Bosuil Stadion.

The 26-year-old transformative was in action with his Black Stars teammate Denis Odoi, who lasted full duration for Royal Antwerp FC as well as German-born Ghanaian attacker Christopher Scott who also made a cameo appearance for the losers.

Ashimeru recently extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht until the summer of 2027.
