After ending his stay with Dundee United, the Ghanaian teenager is hoping to earn a spot in the senior national fold.
Matthew Anim Cudjoe has revealed his desire to earn his debut call-up for the Black Stars by the end of the year.
The silky winger refused to extend his contract with Scottish club Dundee United and is currently a free agent.
Cudjoe who was part of the Black Satellites' team that won the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Mauritania is now keen on a call-up to Otto Addo's squad.
“I want to play for the Black Stars. It would be a dream. When I was with Asante Kotoko, I always told the media I wanted to play for the national team. I believe it’s just a matter of time,” Cudjoe said as reported by 3Sports.
“I believe in myself and know the opportunity will come. It’s about hard work, the coach, and my form. I think this year people will see me in the national team, and when they do, they’ll see Messi in me.
“I’m a winger but can play as a number 10. When I get the ball, I drive forward and try to make things happen. There’s no pressure on me; I just need one opportunity [in the Black Stars], maybe a friendly game.”
