Former Black Meteors midfielder Michael Agbekpornu has expressed determination to help his new club NK Slaven Belupo to achieve success and can't wait for the commencement of the new season.

The 24 year old put pen to paper to sign three years with the Pharmacists after a fruitful negotiations and successfully passing all mandatory medical examinations.

 
The versatile midfielder had an amazing campaign in the Albanian top-flight championship with KF Egantia- an impressive display which caught the good eyes of Belupo and decided to go in for his service.
 
Agbekpornu, is known to be a great figure in midfield, very combative and a great passer who is also versatile and could play in several roles on the pitch.
 
He will wish to walk his way through the squad most importantly the starting line up when the season starts as he hopes to establish himself as part of the supporter's favourite at the Gradski Stadion. 
 
In an interview published on the club's official website, the ex- Dreams FC skipper says he is aware of how tough the new challenge will be but is ever ready and poised to embrace it.
 
"I have taken a step forward in my career, and I look at Slaven Belupo as a great 'springboard' for the future. I know how strong the Croatian league is and how much work awaits us, but I believe that my new teammates and I can achieve our goals."
 
"What I can promise is that you will see from me that I give everything I have for the whole 90 minutes, and I hope that quality presentations will come from that. I am looking forward to the start of the championship, and I can't wait for everything to start." Agbekpornu said after signing the contract.
 
Agbekpornu was part of the Ghana squad at the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt, where the Black Meteors finished in the fourth position after the tournament.
