Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has praised Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus for his strong performance in Spurs’ important 2-0 win over Chelsea in the English Premier League.
The Black Stars forward started at Stamford Bridge and played 89 minutes as Tottenham claimed a memorable away win over their London rivals.
Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders turned a corner from Mateus Fernandes into his own net to give Spurs the lead before Mathys Tel produced a superb solo finish late in the game to seal all three points.
The win was Tottenham’s first in the Premier League this season, with Kudus playing an important role in their strong attacking performance.
Speaking after the match, De Zerbi singled out Kudus and Tel for their impact, crediting the two wingers with making the difference in the fiercely spine-cracking London derby.
“I think we won the game with two wingers, Kudus and Mathys, they made the difference,” De Zerbi said.
Kudus has made eight appearances for Tottenham across all competitions this season, providing two assists as he continues to establish himself in De Zerbi’s side.
The 26-year-old has recently recovered from injury and will hope to continue playing well after his performance against Chelsea as Tottenham aim to keep winning and move up the Premier League table.
